Due to inflation and rising gas prices, The Insecto Circus, once renowned for its performance element, has reinvented itself as an economical hard-hitting rock machine powered by a state-of-the-art hybrid engine. Getting a whopping 78 miles per gallon and 460 horsepower, Insecto ushers in the New Year with the release of its new CD, “My Demon”. This concept album is a dark departure in a new direction for the band that has been kicking Southern California’s ass for several years now. Insecto’s experience clearly shows when they hit the stage. The Insecto Circus’ new 14-track album features one rock epic after another. The band has evolved into a much heavier machine over the last two years, re-emerging as a post-hardcore/metal/punk trio with an angrier yet more intricate barrage of madness.

One of the tracks has been picked up as the theme song for BV Entertainment’s new horror satire "The Halfway House”, starring the world famous scream queen Mary Woronov and directed by Kenneth J. Hall (writer/director of "Puppetmaster"). The DVD (now in stores worldwide and at Blockbuster.com) features the disturbing music video for the track “Halfway to Hell,” directed by Tim Herman (The original manager of GWAR). The film seems to have been written with the band in mind: keeping a light heart while digging into some deep issues, and of course -- sparingno blood or bi-racial lesbian orgies, you know… for the kiddies.
